WHAT PLATFORMS DO YOU SUPPORT?
Regardless of what platform you use for videoconferences, we will assist you with translation. We prefer solutions that are adjusted to the work of a translator and enable simultaneous interpreting.
DO I NEED ANY TECHNICAL SKILLS?
You don’t need any technical knowledge if you decide to use one of our preferred communication platforms. We will be able to configure the tool so that the conversation is translated simultaneously.
WHAT WILL THE PROCESS OF INTERPRETING INVOLVE?
The process varies depending on the platform you use. If there is no possibility of simultaneous interpreting, we will offer consecutive interpreting. This method involves translation after a certain duration of speech. The speaker makes a pause so that the interpreter can translate a given part of their speech.
We prefer tools that are adjusted to the work of a translator and enable simultaneous interpreting. With such tools, the process looks as follows:
- A translator works only in one language pair, e.g. English to German.
- When the English speaker is talking, the interpreter translates the speech live into German.
- The German participant will hear the speech in both languages: English at 30% volume and the German translation at 70% volume
This solution makes it possible for the speech to remain smooth without interruptions. As a result, the process of the videoconference flows naturally.
